Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. offers a PSA Serum/Whole Blood RapiCard Insta Test  (cassette) which is an immunochromatography-based one step in vitro test.  It is designed for the rapid semi-quantitative determination of human Prostrate Specific Antigen (PSA) in serum specimens.  The PSA Rapid Test is for in-vitro diagnostic use only.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer found in man.  The incidence of prostate cancer increases with age and accounts for a growing number of newly diagnosed patients.  Virtually all healthy males under 50 years of age have a PSA concentration under 4.0 ng/ml.  If the PSA level is above 20 ng/ml, the patient most likely has prostate cancer.

The PSA Rapid Test, one of several Cancer Rapid Tests, is a sandwich immunoassay that can detect PSA in serum with concentration of 4.0 ng/ml or greater.
