Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. offers a One Step Semi-Quantitative Anti-HBeAb RapiCard Insta Test (cassette) which is a colloidal gold enhanced, competitive inhibition immunoassay for the determination of antibodies to Hepatitis B e antigen (Anti-HBeAb) in serum or plasma.  This HBeAb Rapid Test, one of several Hepatitis Panel Rapid Tests, is for in-vitro diagnostic use only. **

The HBeAb Rapid Test can only detect the presence of Anti-HBeAb.  The nitrocellulose membrane on the HBeAb Rapid Test is immobilized with mouse Anti-HBeAg McAb on the test region.  During the assay, the mixture of HBeAb and specimen is allowed to react with the colored conjugate (antibody-colloidal gold conjugate).  The mixture then migrates on the membrane through capillary action.  Sensitivity of the HBeAb Rapid Test is 98.68%.
